Our Journey of Financial Empowerment

From a simple idea in 2019 to becoming South Africa's trusted partner in financial education, discover how Edunaz has grown alongside thousands of learners on their path to financial confidence.

2019

The Foundation Story

Started in a small office in Soweto, Edunaz began when our founder noticed how many bright individuals struggled with basic financial concepts despite having good jobs. We weren't trying to create another investment platform – we wanted to build something that actually taught people how money works. Those early days involved late nights researching South African financial regulations, interviewing community members about their biggest money challenges, and slowly crafting our first educational modules. What struck us most was how eager people were to learn once someone explained things in plain English rather than financial jargon.

2021

Growing Our Impact

By 2021, we'd helped over 5,000 individuals understand everything from budgeting basics to retirement planning. This was also when we launched our community workshops in partnership with local organizations across Gauteng. The response was incredible – people would drive hours just to attend our weekend sessions about debt management and saving strategies. We learned that financial education isn't just about numbers; it's about changing how people think about their relationship with money. Our team grew from three to fifteen passionate educators, each bringing their own expertise in different areas of personal finance.

2023

Digital Transformation

The shift to digital learning opened up possibilities we hadn't imagined. We developed interactive online modules that adapt to each learner's pace and knowledge level. Our mobile-friendly platform meant people could learn during their commute or lunch breaks. What really made us proud was launching our scholarship program for young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds – because we believe financial literacy shouldn't depend on your family's economic situation. We also started tracking long-term outcomes and discovered that 78% of our program graduates reported improved financial stability within six months of completion.

Looking Forward to 2026

We're not content with just teaching financial concepts – we want to fundamentally change how South Africans approach money management. Our vision extends beyond individual learning to creating a financially literate society where sound financial decisions become second nature.

Advanced Learning Paths

Launching specialized tracks for entrepreneurs, homeowners, and retirement planning with real-world simulations and case studies based on South African market conditions.

Community Expansion

Partnering with schools, universities, and corporate organizations to integrate financial literacy into existing curricula and employee development programs.

Innovation Lab

Developing cutting-edge tools that help learners practice financial decision-making in safe, simulated environments before applying concepts to their real finances.

"Every person who gains financial confidence through our programs represents a step toward a more economically empowered South Africa. That's what drives us every single day."
